Personal project: Rendering with Redshift, How good is it?

I picked Reshift about a year ago and I can now say I am comfortable using it in production. Currently I am working on a personal project were I can test lots of things inside of Redshift. Things like volumes, emission materials, instances, motion blur. Bellow are some of my test renders so far.

This is one of my first test renders done for this project. I have switched the car a couple of times but I think I might just stick with the Porsche GT3RS for now and Then maybe add this car as a second car in the scene.

In this shot, working with the motion blur works flawlessly. I will also need to check the same blur is working with the reflections on the materials when working with mirror like reflections.

One downfall that I haven’t figured out yet is when using the REDSHIFT IPR or render previewer. Once my scene has loaded and I start to move around it sort of chugs a bit and has to recalculate again. This is something that I didn’t have a problem with in Octane. If anyone knows if this can be fixed leave me a comment. I really would like to get this issue resolved.

Here is a first shot of this scene.

Rendering these shots at 4k at about 2048 samples. Its taking a me about 3-4 hours to render. There is still lots of optimization to do but for now these are just test renders as stills. I would need to drop the render time down to about 15 min for the final animation. I am using 2x 1080ti setup.
